Is Filter by Molly-Mae™ vegan and cruelty free?
Our Filter by Molly-Mae self-tanning products do not use any animal product ingredients. We also are proud to say we are a cruelty free brand who does not test on animals.
What are the ingredients within Filter by Molly-Mae™ tanning mousse?

Where are Filter by Molly-Mae™ products manufactured?
We are proud to say that our Filter by Molly-Mae™ tanning mousse is manufactured here in the UK. We try to source as much of our product and packaging within the UK.
Is Filter by Molly-Mae™ safe to use whilst pregnant?
Filter by Molly-Mae™ self-tanning products are safe to use during your pregnancy. We do recommend however that you do a skin patch test to a small area before applying a tan, as your hormone levels can be higher which may cause an increase in skin sensitivity.
Which Filter by Molly-Mae™ Tanning Colour is right for me?
We have 3 shades of Filter by Molly-Mae Tanning Mousse. We recommend our Medium tanning mousse for fairer skin tone, Dark tanning mousse for lighter to olive skin tones and Extra Dark tanning mousse for medium to darker skin tones. The medium tanning mousse is our most natural radiant finish yet, Dark tanning mousse is perfect for a bronzed glowing finish whilst the Extra Dark tanning mouse is perfect if you are wanting to achieve your deepest tan. Please patch test before using.
How long do I need to wait before showering after tanning?
Please allow 4-6 hours after tanning before showering. Your tan will last longer if you let it completely develop before showering. For ultimate results, we recommend tanning prior bedtime to let your tan develop overnight. Making sure you shower in the am.
How long will my Filter by Molly-Mae™ Tanning mousse last on my body?
Your Filter by Molly-Mae™ Tanning Mousse should last between 5-7 days. Ensuring your skin is properly exfoliated prior to tanning helps to prolong the tan. Once you have your tan on, keep your skin hydrated by using an oil-free moisturiser. This will help to ensure your tan stays healthy, radiant and even.
Will it transfer onto my clothing?
After applying your Filter by Molly-Mae™ tanning mousse we recommend wearing dark coloured, loose clothing to avoid transfer.
What do Filter by Molly-Mae™ tanning products smell like?
Filter by Molly-Mae™ has a fresh, bespoke uplifting scent.
Can Filter by Molly-Mae™ tanning mousse be used on the face?
Yes. Filter by Molly-Mae™ tanning products can be applied evenly and smoothly on the face for the perfect, flawless glow. We recommend using Filter by Molly-Mae™ Tanning mini mitt for facial tanning. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.
Do I need a self-tanning application mitt?
We recommend using the Filter by Molly-Mae™ Tanning super soft luxurious self-application mitt to apply your tanning mousse. The mitt ensures the tan is spread evenly and gives you the most desirable results. Your tan will be smoother and remain streak free when applied with Filter by Molly-Mae™ tanning application mitt.
Can I sleep overnight in my tan?
Yes, you can sleep overnight in your tan. Your tan will develop between 4-6 hours! For best results, shower in the AM and pat yourself dry.
How do I prolong my Filter by Molly-Mae™ tan?
Keeping your skin hydrated is key to prolonging your tan. We recommend using an oil-free moisturiser morning and night all over the body should prolong your tan and prevent any patches. After showering, pat yourself dry instead of rubbing, this will also prolong your tan.
Can I go in the sun with Filter by Molly-Mae™ tan?
Yes. The perfect formula for the beach. Filter by Molly-Mae™ Tanning Mousse does not have a SPF so please ensure you use this on top before stepping out into the sun. You will still catch a natural tan whilst using Filter by Molly-Mae™ Tanning Mousse.
How do I remove my Filter By Molly-Mae™ tan
If you want to remove your Filter by Molly-Mae™ tanning products before we recommend a warm shower, gentle exfoliation and ensuring to moisturise after to rehydrate the skin for a flawless application.
Can I go in water with Filter by Molly-Mae™ tan?
Filter by Molly-Mae™ Tanning Mousse can be worn in water when showering or on holiday. We don't recommend submerging yourself in water for a long period as this can cause the colour to fade.
What is the difference between Tanning Drops and Spritz Me?
Our Tanning Drops are a serum consistency designed to mix in with your day or night time moisturiser for a gradual glow, whereas Spritz Me is a water-based formula to glow on the go.
What is Spritz Me?
Spritz Me is our best-selling tan formula in an easy to apply all over body spritz. Water-based, light-weight, transfer free, streak free and enriched with Aloe Vera to help skin stay moisturised and hydrated.
Is Spritz Me suitable for acne/sensitive skin?
Spritz Me contains the same skin-loving ingredients as the rest of our Filter by Molly-Mae range. Aleo Vera and Banana Flower extract help reduce pores and keep skin moisturised and hydrated.
How long does Spritz Me take to develop?
We recommend allowing 4-10 hours for the tan to fully develop and before coming in contact with water. Top Tip: Spritz Me is fast drying and transfer free so you
can glow on the go.
How long does the tanning mousse last?
Your tanning mousse should last between 5-7 days. Top Tip: Make sure your skin is. properly exfoliated before tanning and once tan is on, keep skin hydrated with an oil-free moisturiser.
How many tanning drops should I use?
For the best glow we recommend mixing 4-8 drops with your moisturiser depending on the shade you would like. Top Tip: Start with less and build up to create the
perfect colour.
How do I clean my tanning mitt?
You can pop your luxury tanning mitt into the washing machine or add fairy liquid and warm water to your mitt and gently scrub until clean.
How many applications are in a bottle of tanning mousse?
The average 200ml bottle of self-tanning mousse will deliver 6-8 full body applications depending on the amount applied and the size of the area covered.
Can I mix Filter products with SPF?
You should never apply tanning products over SPF products. SPF will prevent the active ingredients from developing and the product will prevent the SPF from working. SPF should be applied over a developed tan after showering as tanning products themselves do not prevent sunburn or protect you from UV damage.
Do all your products contain DHA?
All of our Filter by Molly-Mae self-tanning products contain DHA.
I’ve ordered the wrong product
If you have ordered the wrong product, you can return or exchange your item up to 14 days after you have received your delivery. The product must be unused and in the same condition you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Please note that shipping is non-refundable.
How long is shipping after I placed an order?
Next Day Mainland Shipping to the UK will be delivered in 24 hours (if ordered before 2pm Monday-Friday)
UK Mainland Standard Delivery will take, 1-2 days
International shipping will usually take around 7-10 days delivery from date of order
What happens once I receive my tracking number by email?
Depending on the selected shipping service, you will then be able to track your order online through your tracking link provided on your email and wait for your Filter Tanning products to arrive at your door!
(Please note that any customs charges are to be paid by the customer on receipt)
I want to return my order
Please allow 3-5 working days for us to process any item that comes back to our warehouse.
Please note that our returns period for Christmas orders is now extended until the 14th January. All orders placed from the 3rd November onwards can be returned up until the 14th January, as long as the product you are returning is unused, in the same condition it was received in, still in its original packaging, then you are eligible for a refund or exchange.

Situations where only partial refunds are granted
1. Any item it not in its original condition, is damaged or is unable to be resold for reasons not due to our error.
2. Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
What happens if I haven’t met the 14-day policy?
Unfortunately, if 14 days have gone by since your order was received, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
How do I return my product?
1. Follow the steps on your packaging slip, please fill out either refund or exchange and the reason why.
2. Send your parcel back to the address listed below.
3. Once the return is received, the warehouse will inspect it. If the product is not in perfect condition or has been worn, we will not be able to refund you.
4. Please allow 3-5 working days for us to process your return. If the return passes inspection, we will issue the refund to the account you made payment through. Payment can take between 4-6 working days. Please note that shipping is non-refundable.
